I am now into my 22nd week of pregnancy (for those of you non-preggos, that is 5 1/2 months). Yes, I am well into it and as you are probably noticing, my belly is growing and growing every time you see me present a new workout video to you. :o) I’ve got a big old healthy baby in there that is approximately 1 foot long! As I mentioned before, I will take you through my workout journey while pregnant and continue to do as much as I can do that my body allows.
With that being said, I am still able to do Spin. I love riding the bike these days. It seems to be the cardio that is most comfortable for me. I still love the adrenaline rush that running gives me, however, I am starting to feel the pull on my lower abdomen. I can see spinning becoming my choice of cardio up until the very end of my pregnancy.
Workout: I have put together a 15 minute cardio workout using a bike. If you do not have your own stationary bike, you can also use an outdoor bike. If you do not have either one of those, but do have access to a gym, community center, or a friends bike…….take advantage of that.
I put together 5 songs that I personally like to ride my bike to. I am going to teach you how to sit properly while riding on your bike, how to position your hands, use your abdominals and obliques, and make those butts and quads burn. We will go through a series of moves including standing runs, hill climbs, jumps, and simple rides. Hope you have as much fun as I did.
